What Will I Be Doing To Live A Less Distracted Life
First off I need to lay off my phone more. There are many things on there that are distracting me, and taking away from my productivity. Although I could find those same distractions on my laptop, I’m not so inclined to fall for it there. I suppose it’s just THAT MUCH easier on your phone. Things like Facebook take up way too much of my time and energy. On top of that a lot of the comments and posts I see on my timeline really bring me down. I’m not saying that social media is a bad thing. It is actually a huge part of my online hustle, and many others’. However I personally am breaking away from my personal Facebook timeline, and my phone in general. That will help tremendously for me in this attempt to live less distracted.

A New Morning & Nightly Routine Will Help Me As Well
The first thing I usually do when I wake up is reach for my phone. It’s a terrible habit which crept up on me, and I’m sure many others. In order to live less distracted I know I must replace this with a new routine. My plan is to start each morning with 10 minutes of meditation. This will allow me to clear my mind and really focus on my goals for the day. I also plan to not look into any of my notifications until after my morning routine. This morning routine will include meditation, breakfast, gym, and then post work out meal. My nightly routine will be similar in that it will be distraction free, and more focused on internal reflection. I will stop looking at my phone after a certain time. I will also write a few words in my Moleskine right before I sleep.

Seth Godin was on the Ask Gary Vee Show in early 2016 I believe it was. He discussed why he doesn’t use social media, and how it takes away from productivity. I’ll let you watch the show if you want to see more about it. The point is, for me I know what things are taking away from my productivity. And so do you, if you just listen. These things make for a distracted life. And again, I (and maybe you as well) am trying to live a less distracted life. So I’m going to be strict in following these new routines, and breaking away from certain distractions. I know that it will help me in becoming better at what I do, and it will allow me to create GREAT things.
