What Drew Me To Buying Thinking In Systems
Honestly I found Thinking In Systems on Amazon. After reading the excerpt I just knew I had to get this book. It certainly was a culmination of circumstances that lead me to the place I was where in I felt this book would benefit me. I always loved reading, had been doing some from an earlier age than most, and that love has never left. I was also drawn to this book because the author came from M.I.T.. I’m no genius, but I’m quite certain many of this school’s personnel are. There was also something I can’t put a finger on. That happens, instinct, whatever you may call it. Perhaps something I read in the excerpt that seeped into my subconscious. Whatever the case may be at that particular moment in time I just knew I should get this book. So I did.

What Does Thinking In Systems Have To Offer For A Hustler Like You Or Me
Good question considering this blog is The Hustle Never Ends. Well, when I say hustle, I mean a few things. Most importantly I mean constantly improving one’s situation. That is a very holistic thing. Meaning everything ties into each other, and one aspect of life is just as important as another. So I must improve on ALL aspects of life. When you do that, you become the most effective YOU possible. And when you strive for that, there’s so much in this world you can accomplish. Thinking In Systems allows us to see the world in a different perspective. It’s not going to take away from your current lenses. On the contrary, to quote the book, it’s going to “complement” them. This will allow you to see things you haven’t seen before. And from there make improvements on everything from your behaviors, to your business, to work, to your contributions to society and so much more!

This is just a short post because I don’t want to go into too much detail, because the book itself is a work of art. You just have to read it. I will say that Thinking In Systems has helped me to be more empathetic, yes seriously. It’s helped me to see problems differently, approach them differently, and solve them more effectively. And it’s just such a great read as well. You will really see why things are the way they are, regardless of all these “changes” we make. So all you hustlers out there, check the book out. That’s not even an affiliate link of mine, that’s just how much I believe in this book.
Before I truly end this post I want to leave you with one quote from the book.
“If a factory is torn down but the rationality which produced it is left standing, then that rationality will simply produce another factory. If a revolution destroys a government, but the systematic patterns of thought that produced that government are left intact, then those patterns will repeat themselves…There’s so much talk about the system. And so little understanding.”
